Most of this was harvested today except the zucchinis. I found both of those monsters over the last couple of days. My zucchini plant is not a heavy bearer and I don’t check it as often as I should. The yellow squash were all picked just now; the tomatoes this morning.
I have 3 varieties of cherry or small tomatoes. A sweet 100 (red) that came up volunteer, a sungold (yellowish-gold) that is CRAZY and I planted 2 of them, and a yellow pear (yellow) has been largely out shined by all the other plants but we occasionally get a handful of these mild mannered favorites.
The bigger than cherry and up to the biggest tomatoes are all heirloom varietals. I planted purple calabash, black kohosh, brandywines (yellow), mortgage lifter (giant!), and what was supposed to be a red lightning is more of a chubby roma. Anyway, they are prolific.
The cucumbers have out done themselves this year. Last week I cut up a whole gigantic bowl full and took it to the FAC at the park and it was emptied! This past weekend we made not one but TWO big batches of fresh pico de gallo that were a big hit.
I have enough tomatoes after today to make at least 1 1/2 big batches of pico and enough cukes for another FAC! GO ME! I can grows stuff good!

Oh look at those fine wares! Well done you Ms Greenfingers
Way to go Amy! nice looking harvest!
GREENFINGERS!!!!!
Wow, Why aren’t you my next door neighbor? Sigh.
I didn’t do tomatoes this year. Can’t remember why b/c last year my cherry and pear tomatoes went nuts. So last week I was clearing out some of the old radishes that I had let go to seed. Would you believe it? I found a sneaky volunteer tomato hiding among them. I propped it with a cage and mulched a little. Just the other day it put on a few blossoms. I’m excited to find out what kind it is.
Since my garden is mostly spent now, I am focusing on building out new areas for planting in the spring. My compost cooked very nicely over the last month and I’ve started turning it into the new beds.
Always love your garden posts.
WOW! Our garden humbly kneels at the feet of your garden.
Your veggies look glorious! The fact they came from your own garden is amazing. Go girl!
Impressive!
Wow! Can’t wait till I can get some veges back in my garden.
I’ll probably need to put some soil back in my garden first though. When it stops raining.
